GENERAL INFORMATION FOR TRAIL LAKE LODGE
Fishing in Alaska doesn't have to cost an arm and a leg. You can get a complete Alaska fishing adventure without spending half of your kids college tuition. Trail Lake Lodge in Moose Pass on the Kenai Peninsula is one of our new additions for 2011. We are planning a hosted adventure there this summer and we really hope you will consider joining us.

Comfortable year-round lodging, meeting space, full-service dining and lounge accomodations are available for the single traveller or large groups of up to 40 individuals. Their staff is well qualified to assist you with arrangements ranging from summer/winter vacations, individual or group educational programs, business meeting platforms, corporate or group retreats, weddings, family reunions, or a host of other options tailored to meet your individual wishes.

Nestled in a beautiful mountain panorama just off of Highway 9, and located on the shores of scenic Trail Lake in the Chugach National Forest, the Trail Lake Lodge is centrally located for enjoyment of the Kenai Peninsula's many activities.

Thirty minutes south is the harbor town of Seward where you'll find whale-watching, wildlife, and glacier viewing day-cruises into Kenai Fjords National Park, as well as ocean charters for salmon and halibut. A half-hour west is Cooper Landing, headwaters of the world-famous Kenai River with fishing charters and rafting adventures available. In between lie dozens of trailheads with Alaska's best hiking and mountain biking locations.

A rental car is advantageous to access several of the
nearby activities, however morning and evening shuttle service to & from Seward is offered from the lodge for a nominal $30 one-way, $40 round-trip fare. Transportation to & from Anchorage, Denali or Cooper Landing can also be arranged by our staff.

The Trail Lake Lodge has two very important attributes that will make your Alaska fishing vacation perfect - LOCATION AND VALUE.

All rooms have private baths and televisions. The main lodge rooms are larger and are configured with one queen bed, one twin bed, and one twin size sofa-sleeper with in-room vanity, desk and telephones with local phone service at no additional charge. Motel rooms are configured with either one double bed or two twin beds.
FISHING INFORMATION AT TRAIL LAKE LODGE
The Kenai Peninsula is legendary for it's GIGANTIC chinook salmon that find their way upstream in June and July each year. Fifty pounders are quite common and each year anglers attempt to catch a sixty or seventy pound fish. Each year a few lucky anglers do.
But along with the chinook, there are many other species available. Coho/Silver salmon arrive in late July and go through August, millions of sockeye are in the Kenai system from June through August, and the huge rainbow trout are plentiful in all the area rivers. They are caught all summer long but are the fattest after they have fed on sockeye eggs and flesh all summer - think late August or September for the monsters! Trail Lake Lodge has trips designed to catch all of these fish and they also do saltwater trips for salmon, halibut, ling cod, yellow eye, and other bottom fish to give the meat in your freezer at home some company!
