Fishing for salmon, fishing for halibut, filling your freezer with meat for the summer barbeque...perfect!
FISHING INFORMATION AT TANAKU LODGE
Whether your orientation is fly-fishing with an emphasis on catch and release, or hot and heavy saltwater angling with a desire to take home boxes of fresh/frozen fillets and steaks - Tanaku Lodge should be on your short-list of where to sport fish anywhere in the world!
There are a number of streams and rivers nearby where you can match your fly, bait or lure casting expertise against lively dolly-varden, trout, and pink and coho salmon. The water is so crystal clear you can see the fish strike your fly or lure! Man Oh man, it just doesn't get better than this!
Fishing for salmon and fishing for halibut involves a mixture of science, technology and an expert 'home-grown' knowledge base to figure out how to best hoodwink game fish into perceiving your carefully chosen offering: fly, lure, or bait, as something they should want to eat, or attack to protect themselves, or their vulnerable offspring.
The 'figuring out' part of fishing is key to capturing the wily game fish occupying our target areas; namely, the fertile aquatic ecosystems spanning from Cross Sound to the Gulf of Alaska, and our seasoned guides are very adept at adapting their fishing techniques to optimize our 'valued' guests daily sport fishing success!
Our dedicated goal and 100% focus is to assure each guest vacationing with us has a wonderful Alaska lodge and sportfishing experience. We hope to have the pleasure of sharing our world-class Alaska sport fishing lodge with you this 2010 season!
