Rod and Reel Adventures Monthly Email Newsletter
WELCOME
Fisrt of all, our hearts are with our friends in Alabama. We are praying for you. We don't have many tornados in Oregon, and I can't imagine what it would be like to be in the middle of that kind of fury and face the devastation when it is finished. It just blows my mind. Let us know if there is anything we can do to help!
Thanks to all of you, last month set a new record for Rod and Reel Adventures. April 2011 was the highest volume of business for any month in the ten and half years of owning the company. The new bookings were mostly to Alaska with a couple to Mexico and Costa Rica. The previous record month was May 2001 (pre-911) so it's been a long battle back. I really appreciate all the support. As many of you tell me when we chat.... I have the best job in the world, and it's all because of YOU!

ALASKA TIME
Alaska has been the most popular booking destination the last couple of months and there are still lots of openings left. Freshwater options to Bristol Bay for rainbow trout have traditionally been pretty booked by this time of year, but we have prime dates available at multiple locations. Give us a call. And the salmon and halibut trips to Southeast Alaska are going wild! I can't remember a year with this much action!
Don't miss your boat - it's waiting for you!
BLOG STILL ROLLING
If you are interested in fishing tips, techniques, personal stories, and more detailed information, please check out the blog - http://travelandfishtheworld.blogspot.com.
CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE BLOG - I am interested in any fishing travel information or stories or photos that you all have. I will gladly blog about them to the world and give you full credit. Please email me anything you think might be blog-worthy and I'll publish it.
NEW FISHING DESTINATIONS
Taking a look at the Cook Islands as
a bonefish destination. Also have a Panama tarpon adventure in the works. You'll be seeing more on these in the upcoming editions as I gather information and make sure these destinations are places worthy of representation. I do love the 'research' more than any other part of this awesome job!
HOSTED TRIPS
We are planning our FIFTH Campeche Baby Tarpon fiesta for November of this year. We have tentative dates of November 8-13 and November 13-18. Price is $2050 pp double occupancy for anglers, $1025 pp for non anglers. This fishing trip is one of my absolute favorites.

I'm also considering hosted trips to ANYWHERE WARM for the winter season 2011/2012. So if you have a group looking to escape the winter cold and want a host (NO CHARGE), let me know. I'd love to show you some of my favorite warm weather fishing destinations! Think Costa Rica, Argentina, Belize, Chile, Brazil...
