WELCOME

Just returned from a hosted trip to the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica. Eleven of us were guests of Silver King Lodge for four days of tarpon fishing and while the weather made things a bit tough for the first two days, we more than made up for it for the last two. You can watch the video of our adventure on YouTube by clicking this link:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ztAAB_06_74

And you can read about the trip on our blog page which can be accessed by clikcing here - http://travelandfishtheworld.blogspot.com

We are currently planning a return trip either this fall or next. So let me know if it inspires you!

In other news, everyone seems to be planning their Alaska fishing vacations at once. There have been some recent changes to the halibut limits in SE Alaska so be sure to get all the details before you make your decisions. We have a lot of experience with Alaska properties. I hope you'll give us a chance to show you some great options!

CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE BLOG - I am interested in any fishing travel information or stories or photos that you all have. I will gladly blog about them to the world and give you full credit. Please email me anything you think might be blog-worthy and I'll publish it.

HOSTED TRIPS
We are planning our FIFTH Campeche Baby Tarpon fiesta for November of this year. We have tentative dates of November 8-13 and November 13-18. My wife and I will host one week, she doesn't think we can be away from our kids for the whole time...I'm staying for the duration! I mean, it is my JOB! :-)

TRAVEL NEWS
I saw on the network news tonight they are warning against spring break travel to Mexico. I have some thoughts on this that I would be happy to share via phone or private email. The gist is that if you are not careful, anywhere is dangerous. Always be vigilant and don't do things that make you a target for crime.
