GENERAL INFORMATION FOR KODIAK LODGE, ALASKA 

Kodiak Lodge. The Center of Everything. The Middle of Nowhere. Due West is Larsen Bay. These sheltered waters abound with Halibut, Dolly Varden, and endless species of rockfish. To the North you'll find Uyak Bay and Shelikof Straight, land of Kings, Silvers and monster Halibut. East are the mountains, where eagles, deer and fox roam cautiously as Kodiak bears forage nearby. Head South and you're on the grassy banks of the Karluk River. King, Pink, Chum, and Red Salmon, as well as Steelhead, are prolific here. Perhaps the only thing we can't offer is enough time to truly experience it all.

The Fish are Stacked Up Shoulder to Shoulder, Not The Fisherman. Kodiak Lodge is located in a small native village concealed within the remote fjord-like bays of western Kodiak Island. Around here, crowds are as rare as cellular phones and cruise ships. We often have the water all to ourselves; and with two sheltered bays, Shelikof Straight and several river valleys to choose from, that's a lot of water. In the same day you can experience spectacular fresh and saltwater fishing, wildlife viewing, sea kayaking, and exploring. Combine our comfortable accommodations, warm-hearted staff, and Alaska's best guides and you have the makings for an unforgettable adventure in an unspoiled paradise.

After a hearty Alaskan breakfast at our lodge, our expert guides will take you to the best fishing spots around some as close as 15 minutes from the dock. You'll fish the entire day (8 hours) with one of our experienced and Coast Guard certified guides. No crowded boats here, only 2-4 people per boat and lunch (as well as dinner) will be provided so you can relax away from it all in the spectacular scenery, greenery and mild climate exclusive to "The Emerald Isle" Kodiak Island. Whether flyfishing or mooching, saltwater or freshwater fishing, with King salmon, sockeye, halibut, trout, steelhead and many others the choices at Kodiak Lodge are as abundant as the wildlife. All in all that makes for one unforgettable adventure.

When the day is done bring your ravenous appetite back to the lodge and feast like a king on fresh seafood and other treats. Then relax in the comfort of our lodge or out on the deck overlooking Larsen Bay, before retiring to your room to dream of the great adventures to come...

SEASON AT KODIAK LODGE, ALASKA
The fishing season runs from June to October and starts and ends based on weather conditions. Like most of Alaska, the rainbow fishing is great early and late and the salmon make the middle of the season unbelievable. Probably the best overall month for Alaska is August. If you want August dates...BOOK EARLY!! They go fast.

HOW TO GET TO KODIAK LODGE, ALASKA
You'll fly into Kodiak, Alaska on Alaska Airlines. You may need to overnight at the Best Western before your next day air transfer to Larsen Bay. The cost for this air transfer is not included in any package pricing.
