Idaho is one of my favorite states to flyfish. Huge rainbow trout, huge brown trout, numerous cutthroat trout and very few people make this an excellent choice for your next Western flyfishing trip. While spinfishing is possible, most of our Idaho options specialize in flyfishing. Don't be intimidated by this - flyfishing with a guide is amazing and you'll know what you are doing in the first few minutes of your first float! Weather can change quickly, but summers are usually warm and dry. The lodges have laundry facilities so pack light. Mornings can be cool and afternoons hot, so think LAYERS.

FISHING GEAR FOR CHILE FLYFISHING ADVENTURES
The lodges we represent in Idaho are amazing. Almost all of them provide all the tackle you'll need, but most fly anglers like to bring their own as well. Here is a list of some of the gear you may want to consider bringing along with you:
5-7 Weight Flyrod
Fly reel with 150 yards of 30# dacron backing and both a floating and sink-tip flyline.
The guides at our Idaho lodges will have plenty of flies but sometimes it's good to have a few of your own.
