WELCOME

It's SHOWTIME! Many of our fishing travel destinations promote at the many sportfishing shows around the country. They all seem to take place from January through March, so right now lodges are booking their space more quickly than at any other time during the year. What this means is that if you have tentative plans to travel and fish, you need to get moving. We have already had some anglers who waited a bit too long and had to settle for their second choice of dates. Please don't let this happen to you.

My Worldwide Fishing Travel Blog page is getting some excellent feedback by way of exponential increases in readership. There are international fishing reports, as well as some excellent information on how to shop, how to fish, as well as the obligatory promotional material.

HOSTED TRIPS
My wife and I are hosting a trip to Silver King Lodge in Costa Rica from February 27 to March 5 of 2011. We have room for a few more anglers and non-anglers if you are interested. The price is very reasonable ($2255 pp + air, expenses in San Jose, and tips) and flights are as low right now as I've seen them in a couple of years.

Our hosted Alaska adventure now has dates! August 1-6, 2011. Come with me to fish for salmon and halibut in the salt on one day, hike in to fish trout and salmon on another day, float a Kenai Peninsula stream one day, and fly-out to a more remote location on the fourth day. All this for only $1995 per person plus airfare, license, tips, and drinks. Trail Lake Lodge is the destination and I'm looking forward to this exploratory adventure.

TRAVEL NEWS
The recent buzz is that airfares will be rising soon. I haven't seen it yet, but watch for increases up to 20% or more over the next few months.
