Chile is a lot like Montana in the Southern Hemisphere. Summers (our winters) are warm with cool nights, and there can be some rain since they have a lot of coastline. It is important to pack with layering and weatherproofing in mind. Our fishing here is strictly freshwater flyfishing. They have a tourism tax of about $100 that you have to pay at the airport upon arrival, so have a little extra cash ready. They accept US Dollars for payment of expenses and tips.
