Brazil is HOT. Equator HOT. More than tropical hot. It rains occasionally and you dry off within minutes of the rain stopping. Pack light as our Brazilian operators all have excellent laundry services. One thing to remember is that white clothes will come back tea stained if you have them washed. The Amazon water is tanic and leaves all whites a little brownish white. US Dollars are accepted and you won't need to change any money at the airport.

FISHING GEAR FOR BRAZIL PEACOCK BASS FISHING

Our Brazilian operators all provide all the tackle you'll need,
But if you want, here is a list of some fly and spin gear you may want to consider bringing along with you:

Fly reel with 150 yards of 30# dacron backing and both a floating and at least one sink-tip flyline for the nine or ten weight.

Medium action spinning rod and reel with 150-200 yards of 10-16# monofilament fishing line.

The guides at our Brazil fishing lodges and liveaboard yachts do not have many flies. It's good to bring your own.
