Wild Country Guide Service is owned and
operated by a very good friend and fishing partner of mine named Tom
Land. Tom has been one of the top Rocky Mountain Elk guides in Utah for
many years bagging countless record-book class elk on the pristine
Deseret Ranch of northern Utah. The rugged beauty of this land is
matched by the quality fishing impoundments and the gorgeous Lost Creek
which runs clear and full of feisty cutthroat trout all summer long.
Double digit (in pounds) rainbows are caught each year in a number of the lakes that Tom has managed for trophies.
Flyfishing only with single barbless hooks and strictly catch and release for all trout.
ADDITIONAL ACTIVITIES
Any true outdoor lover will be
enthralled with the wildlife viewing opportunities on Deseret. Herds of
bull elk in the summer months before the fall mating season will blow
your mind. I once saw a herd of nineteen bulls, all but two of which
were branch antlered and in the velvet. Record class mule deer, moose,
coyote, foxes, otters, eagles, osprey, and numerous other birds for the
bird watchers.
HOW TO GET THERE
Fly into Salt Lake City or drive to the ranch. We'll take care of you at whatever point you'd like us to.
RATES
One or two anglers $325 per day
Third angler $100 additional per day
GUIDED TRIPS INCLUDE: (1) FULL DAY OF GUIDED FISHING WITH A LIMIT OF THREE ANGLERS TO ONE GUIDE, WHICH INCLUDES (8 TO 10 HOURS OF FISHING) DELI LUNCH, WITH A BEVERAGE. ACCESS TO THE RANCH; FISHING BOTH PONDS AND STREAM. FLIES AND EQUIPMENT ARE NOT INCLUDED.

THE HOST WILL GIVE ADVICE ON WHERE TO FISH AND WHAT TO LOOK FOR WHILE FISHING. THE HOST WILL ALSO ACCOMPANY THE GROUP THE ENTIRE DAY AND TRY  TO MAKE THE EXPERIENCE AS ENJOYABLE AS POSSIBLE.
